- iCloud Integration: If iCloud is enabled, your family history information is synced across your supported devices that have the app installed. This synchronization is managed securely through Apple’s iCloud service.
2. Data Sharing
- Project Sharing: The app allows you to share your family history project with specific iCloud users via iCloud sharing.
- Media Sharing: The app allows you to share media and PDFs explicitly via the standard Apple share actions.
- Sharing data requires your explicit action and is not performed automatically by the app.
3. Data Export
You can export your family history information to a GEDCOM file at your discretion. Exporting data is a user-initiated process and not automated by the app.
4. Internet Communication
The app does not communicate with the internet beyond using Apple’s iCloud services for data synchronization and sharing.
No external servers or third-party APIs are used to process or transmit your data.
5. Logging and Analytics
- The app does not log or track any sensitive information.
- No user actions or data entries are recorded for analytics or tracking purposes.
6. Security
- Data stored on your device is secured by your device’s built-in security measures (e.g., passcode, Touch ID, Face ID).
- Data synced via iCloud is protected by Apple’s encryption and security standards.
7. User Control
- You retain full control of your data.
- Sharing, importing, and exporting require your explicit consent.
- You can delete data from the app or your iCloud account at any time.
